The St. Mary’s Hospital project included the construction of a new 7,780 sq.m, two-storey elderly care unit on the grounds of Mullingar Hospital with associated underground and surface car parking services, etc. including the renovation of a protected structure. The existing hospital infrastructure had to be diverted and redesigned to take account of future redevelopment. The structure consists of a reinforced concrete basement and masonry with precast concrete on the 1st floor and steel-framed pitched roofs.
